A hull survey or survey for insurance is required by most insurance companies when a boat typically reaches 20 years of age.

A hull survey is often asked for before purchasing a boat. In addition to a hull survey a full pre-purchase survey may be asked for. In addition to the hull being surveyed the full pre-purchase survey will also cover the boats interior, appliances and engine etc.

A survey for osmosis is often the greatest concern to many with a GRP boat or if looking to purchase one.
